Our client a large player in the insurance industry is expanding and looking fora Team Leader/Manager to run a growing team of Sales staff.
Reports to: Regional Director
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Team Manager to lead, develop, and grow our insurance sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving performance, achieving sales targets, and ensuring that the team delivers an exceptional customer experience. This role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of insurance products, and the ability to inspire and motivate a team in a competitive market.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and coach a team of sales executives/consultants to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Monitor and analyse sales performance, producing regular reports for senior management.
- Drive new business growth and retention by ensuring effective sales strategies are implemented.
- Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and training sessions to support personal development and professional growth of the team.
- Ensure compliance with FCA regulations and company policies at all times.
- Collaborate with marketing, operations, and product teams to support business objectives and align sales campaigns.
- Foster a positive, high-performing sales culture, motivating the team to exceed KPIs.
- Identify opportunities for improvement in sales processes and customer experience.
The candidate
- Proven track record of success in insurance sales (life, general, or commercial insurance OR Finance).
- Previous experience in managing or leading a sales team is essential.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills with the ability to inspire high performance.
- Excellent communication, coaching, and interpersonal skills.
- Commercially aware with strong negotiation and influencing ability.
- Good understanding of FCA compliance and industry regulations.
- Highly organised, target-driven, and resilient under pressure.
