Position: Team Manager - Adult Locality TeamLocation: Barnsley CouncilRate: £45.00 per hourContract: Temporary/Agency (through Ackerman Pierce)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong leadership and supervision to a team of social workers and support staff.
  • Oversee the allocation of cases and ensure effective caseload management practices.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve service delivery and outcomes for service users.
  • Lead on complex cases, providing expert guidance and support to team members.
  • Liaise with other agencies and professionals to coordinate holistic support for service users.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Monitor and review the performance of the team, providing feedback and support for continuous improvement.
  • Represent the team and council at meetings, conferences, and other events as required.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
  • Significant experience working in adult social care, including experience in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Thorough knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures within adult social care.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and support a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective working relationships.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other agencies and stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for service users.
  • Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in all aspects of service delivery.
