Daytime Healthcare are assisting a leading children's care home to find a Team Leader to join the residential home in Northampton
The children's home offers a comprehensive residential service for young people with learning disabilities and associated challenging behaviour aged between 7-17 years.
Duties:
- To join a team of residential care staff ensuring that safe and appropriate care practices are always maintained
- To support the Manager and Deputy Manager in all aspects of the home’s operation, whilst maintaining positive childcare practice, in keeping with the aims and objectives of the home
- To provide a safe, warm and supportive environment to our residents whilst being involved in the planning and organisation of the home
- To maintain a regular recording system in connection with each young person, be involved in the implementation of care plans and assist in the publication of reports when required
- To attend review and planning meetings when required
Responsibilities:
- To foster and encourage, wherever appropriate contact between residents and their families
- To maintain good liaison and co-operate with external agencies, eg: social workers, consultant staff and others concerned with the welfare of the individual residents
- To demonstrate both sensitivity and appropriate assertiveness, whilst working in a pressured environment with groups of diverse residents and staff.
- Carry out the duties of the post in a mature and responsible manner, seeking and receiving support as necessary
Essential:
- Must hold Level 3 in Residential Childcare
- Must have previous experience working in a Children's Home.
Pay:
- £14.75 per hour (40 hours) for Team Leader position.
- Sleep In’s paid at £55
Hours:
- Hours are either 7am-10pm or 8am-11pm, 3 shifts a week on a 3-week rolling rota.
- This role works on a variable shift pattern across the 7 days of the week. A fixed pattern is not available.
