Team Leader - Childrens Home - Connect Executive Search Group : Job Details

Location: Bedford

Salary: £33,690 – £36,082 per year (including sleep-in shifts at £60/night)

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, 2 days on / 4 days off

We are looking for a compassionate Senior Support Worker / Team Leader to join a children’s residential care setting. You will lead a small team, support children and young people to achieve positive outcomes, and help ensure the home runs safely and effectively.

Responsibilities:

• Lead shifts and support staff in delivering high-quality care
• Ensure children’s care plans, risk assessments, and behaviour plans are followed
• Promote a safe, nurturing, and structured environment
• Support the Manager in daily operations

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working with children/young people, including at least 1 year in a senior role
• Experience managing or supervising staff
• NVQ Level 4 in Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
• Strong communication skills and ability to build positive relationships
