About the school:

The school is a primary school for children from ages 3 to 11 with severe or profound and multiple learning difficulties, some of whom also have a diagnosis of ASD. The school is warm and welcoming and prides itself on nurturing a supportive and collaborative environment for all.

As a special needs teaching assistant, you will:

• Be empathetic and compassionate
• Take pride in assisting vulnerable young people and be invested in their development
• Encourage students to be as independent as possible in all learning areas
• Be willing to do personal care and support the children positively in all situationsAble to work well in a team and communicate well with adults and children
• Have previous experience supporting young people with special needs
