We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our team at a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Leeds. This role is ideal for individuals who have a strong mentality and a willingness to work with children with additional needs. No previous experience is necessary, as we value passion and commitment to supporting our students’ educational journey.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of daily lessons and activities tailored to the needs of students within the PRU setting.
- Provide one-to-one support to students, encouraging their engagement in learning and helping them to overcome educational barriers.
- Work collaboratively with the teaching staff to monitor and track the progress of students.
- Help to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance your understanding of the specific needs of the students you’ll be working with.
- Assist with the management of classroom behaviour, applying the strategies you’ll learn through training and mentorship.
