Are you Behavioural TA / Support Worker looking for a new opportunity in an SEMH Secondary School in Blackpool? Tradewind is currently working with a 'Good' SEMH Secondary School in Blackpool, the school are looking to recruit a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work on a full-time, long term basis. This role is to start September. The successful member of staff will start in September and continue for the remainder of the academic year. This role is temporary with the potential to go permanent. The School is looking to employ a Teaching Assistant/Support Worker to work on a 1:1 with a KS3 pupil. The pupil has a range of Social and Emotional Difficulties. This is a full-time position working 5 days per week. The successful Teaching Assistant/ Support Worker will be required to have previous experience working as a Support Worker or Teaching Assistant and be confident working 1:1 with pupils and potentially running small group intervention. The SEMH Secondary School in Blackpool has excellent access to public transport links and free on-site parking. After visiting the school, I was really impressed with the state of the art facilities. This school also encourages and healthy and active approach to every day school life. The school has a welcoming team of staff and a strong and well-structured SLT.

Essential requirements:

• Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Supporting Teaching and Learning
• Team Teach (not essential as training can be provided)
• Have excellent communication and behaviour management techniques
• Be confident in dealing with challenging behaviour
• Excellent interpersonal skills based on effective communication
• Passion to ensure every pupil succeeds and reaches their full potential
• Experience with working on a 1-2-1 and group basis
• An awareness of their own strengths and areas for development and a willingness to listen to, reflect constructively and ac upon, as appropriate, feedback from others
• Be able to confidently work as part of the team and independently
