An excellent primary school in Haringey is recruiting for a committed and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join their Year 5 team in September 2025. This long-term to permanent role offers a chance to support pupils with Autism and complex behavioural needs in a structured and nurturing setting.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include managing challenging behaviour, supporting learning in Maths and English, and promoting social and emotional development. You will work alongside experienced staff, including the SENCO and class teacher, who will support your development as a SEN Teaching Assistant.

The school is committed to inclusive education and is looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant who shares their values and has the confidence to work 1:1 or in small groups. A background in supporting children with ASD is essential, and the ideal SEN Teaching Assistant will be calm, patient, and firm when needed.

The Headteacher has emphasised the need for a proactive and reliable SEN Teaching Assistant who is passionate about helping every child succeed.
