Reeson Education is recruiting for a committed and compassionate Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in the M17 area. This full-time, long-term Teaching Assistant position is to start in September and will involve supporting a pupil in Lower Key Stage 2 with ADHD and learning delays.

The successful Teaching Assistant will play a vital role in helping the child access learning, build routines, and develop both academically and emotionally. The school is looking for a Teaching Assistant who is patient, consistent, and confident in managing behaviour positively and proactively. You'll be joining a welcoming staff team and be fully supported by the SENDCo and class teacher.

Whether you're an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone with a strong understanding of ADHD and a background in child development, this role offers the chance to make a real difference.

Teaching Assistant - What You'll Be Doing:

• Working 1:1 with a pupil in LKS2 with ADHD and learning delays as a Teaching Assistant
• Implementing strategies to support emotional regulation and attention
• Providing academic support in class as a Teaching Assistant
• Supporting literacy and numeracy at the appropriate level
• Using visual timetables, routine-based reinforcement, and calm communication
• Working with the class teacher and SENDCo to adapt resources and lessons
• Promoting positive behaviour and social skills as a Teaching Assistant
• Tracking progress and identifying needs in collaboration with staff
• Helping the pupil feel safe, supported, and included in school life
• Contributing to a nurturing and structured classroom environment

Teaching Assistant - What We're Looking For:

• Experience supporting pupils with ADHD or similar needs
• A patient and empathetic approach to behaviour and learning
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Full-time availability from September
• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification preferred
• DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
• Understanding of SEND strategies and inclusive practices
• Commitment to supporting the wellbeing and development of every pupil
