Learning Support Assistant - Secondary School - Wandsworth

Long Term Futures are working with a large, well-resourced secondary school in Wandsworth to appoint a committed and proactive Learning Support Assistant from September 2025.The school is inclusive, forward-thinking, and has a strong SEN department that works closely with class teachers to support pupils with a range of needs including autism, ADHD, and moderate learning difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:* Provide 1:1 and small group support for students with additional needs across KS3 and KS4* Help students stay focused and engaged in mainstream lessons across various subjects* Support the implementation of EHCPs and assist in tracking student progress* Use visual aids, scaffolding and positive behaviour strategies to support learning* Work closely with SENCo, teachers, and external professionals to ensure consistent support

Ideal Candidate Will Have:* Experience working with secondary-age students in a school or youth setting* A calm, patient and adaptable approach to support* Good communication skills and a team-focused mindset* Understanding of SEND and classroom inclusion strategies* A genuine interest in supporting young people to reach their potential

Location and Transport - Wandsworth, South West London* Accessible via Clapham Junction, Wandsworth Town and Earlsfield stations* Local bus routes: 44, 77, 270, 87, 156* On-site staff parking may be available
