English Teaching Assistant - Starting September 2025

Starting in September 2025, we are seeking an English Teaching Assistant to support English classes at a secondary school in Slough. This is a full-time position running from September 2025 through to the end of the academic year in July 2026.

The successful candidate will provide in-class support to students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (Years 7 to 10) during their English lessons. The school prides itself on continual improvement, with a team of dedicated teachers who are passionate about helping students reach their full potential. We are looking for a committed English Teaching Assistant who has strong skills in spoken, written, and reading English. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic about education, eager to make a positive impact, and willing to follow the guidance of the Special Educational Needs Coordinator. A passion for working with students and an interest in pursuing a career in teaching would be a strong advantage.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting students during classroom lessons
• Completing tasks set by class teachers and line managers
• Working with students who have special educational needs
• Being adaptable and willing to take on varied TA duties
• Maintaining punctuality and reliability
