Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist teachers in preparing for lessons and creating a conducive learning environment.
- Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning material.
- Support students with special educational needs, under the direction of the class teacher.
- Help manage classroom resources and ensure they are available and in good condition.
- Supervise students during non-classroom times such as lunch breaks and field trips.
- Provide feedback to teachers on student progress and behaviour.
- Encourage students to engage in learning activities and promote positive behaviour.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a supportive approach to student learning.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A proactive and flexible attitude.
- Enhanced DBS check or willingness to obtain one.
