Teaching Assistant - Prospero Teaching : Job Details

Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who has supported children with SEN on a 1:1 basis? I am working with a lovely, friendly primary school in Manchester that requires a patient, calm Teaching Assistant to support a child in Key Stage 2. The child is based full-time in their mainstream classroom, but requires help to engage and progress with their learning activities. The Teaching Assistant needs to be able to provide plenty of encouragement and help the child engage with learning activities. You must be confident with your behaviour management and be able to build good relationships with children who can be challenging at times.

You must be able to integrate into a staff team easily and be a good team-player who can work effectively with the class teacher. You will be required to carry out general Teaching Assistant duties in class as well as work with the child you are supporting.

This Teaching Assistant role is to start after half term on 3rd June and is until the end of summer term, at a minimum. This role is full-time and has a daily pay rate of £75 to £100 depending on experience.

Essential requirements:

• Right to Work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS
• Relevant qualification such as degree or TA qualification, Level 2 or Level 3
• Professional references covering the last two full years
• Teaching Assistant experience in EYFS
