A vibrant primary school in LS9 is seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their team, supporting Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about contributing to the development and education of young children.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist in the preparation and delivery of daily lessons.
- Provide support to individual students or small groups to help them understand the material and complete their tasks.
- Work under the guidance of the class teacher to create a supportive and engaging learning environment.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure students stay on task.
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of classroom activities and materials.
- Support the class teacher with student assessments and record-keeping.
- Participate in school meetings and professional development opportunities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards working with children.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the class teacher and other staff members.
- A commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils.
