Teaching Assistant in Croydon

One of our partner schools are looking for 5 dedicated Teaching assistants to work within their school. This role will be starting ASAP and will go on until the end of the academic year, to then proceed into September.

The school are looking for a hard-working TA who will be willing to move around as and when needed by the school from Early years to year 2. Flexibility to move around the year groups is a must.

There will be a number of children who have Special Educational needs within the class, therefore you must be willing to work with children who have higher needs.

The school is a 2-form entry mainstream primary School based in Thornton Heath that also has an SEN Provision class. The closest station is Thornton Heath, and the school also has free on street parking.

Your Roles:

• Work closely with specific students, providing personalised support tailored to their learning needs.
• Assist with academic tasks, including homework, assignments, and skill development.
• Assist the class teacher as and when needed - and be willing to move around when the school need.
• Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment to promote confidence and motivation for children.
• Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure coordinated support for the students.

Having experience working with children is required, not specifically in a school setting, but you must be prepared willing to learn and accommodate to the school's morals and rules.
