Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and assist students with complex learning needs, including those in wheelchairs, ensuring their safety, well-being, and personal development.
  • Collaborate closely with the classroom teacher and other professionals to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide tailored support.
  • Foster an inclusive learning environment that encourages independence, communication, and social interaction.
  • Employ a variety of techniques, including manual handling and hoisting, to support students' mobility and accessibility needs (experience/training preferred but not essential).
  • Actively engage in students' educational and extracurricular activities, nurturing their academic, emotional, and social growth.

Qualifications and Requirements: ? Genuine passion for working with students with special needs, particularly those in wheelchairs or with complex learning needs. ? Proven ability to provide compassionate care, support, and educational assistance. ? Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with students, staff, and parents. ? Manual handling and hoisting experience/training is preferred but not essential. ? Relevant qualifications and certifications in special education or related fields are desirable.
