Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We're seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team in Croydon.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one support to students with SEN in year 2, ensuring they have access to tailored learning experiences.
- Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering lessons that cater to the individual needs and abilities of each student.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and empowered to learn.
- Collaborate with other staff members, parents, and external professionals to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) for students with SEN.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN is required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of children with SEN.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education, childcare, or SEN support (e.g., CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning in Schools) would be advantageous.
