Teaching Assistant – Tamworth – SEMH School If you are a teaching assistant or behaviour mentor looking to make a difference, this is the perfect opportunity for you. This dynamic SEMH school in Tamworth is looking to add an experienced teaching assistant to the team to support young people who have struggled to engage with mainstream education.As a teaching assistant at this school, you will be providing classroom support for students, managing behaviour, and helping them to engage with lessons. Students at this school have been temporarily or permanently excluded from mainstream education and require a Teaching Assistant who can effectively manage behaviours and help them to regulate their emotions. • Having a good understanding of a range of additional needs and challenging behaviours
• Working as a Classroom Assistant / Teaching Assistant
• Taking part in whole school activities and making school fun, engaging and beneficial for students
• Breaking down barriers to communication and managing challenging behaviours
