Job Description :
Teaching Assistant required to support small groups of Key Stage 3 & 4 students who have been excluded from mainstream education. Are you a Teaching Assistant or Classroom assistant who has experience supporting children with challenging behaviours or SEMH needs? This busy Alternative Provision is looking to add a Teaching Assistant to the team who will be supporting small classes of children with SEMH needs, many who have been excluded from mainstream education. This role requires a Teaching Assistant with good behaviour management skills.As a Teaching Assistant you will be providing support to classes of no more than 8 students, and will be working with an experienced team of 1-2-1 and class Teaching Assistants who are adept at breaking down social and academic barriers .Experience working with challenging behaviours is essential and a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable. Job Role:
  • Supporting challenging behaviours in small classes of KS3 & KS4 students
  • Working as a Teaching Assistant /Classroom Assistant
  • Acting as a positive role model for students
  • Delivering 1-2-1 intervention sessions focused on communication and behaviours
  • Helping students to reengage with education
