Teaching Assistant (Behaviour) – GainsboroughFull-Time | Term-Time Only | Permanent Role After Probation
We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant with a focus on behaviour support to join a forward-thinking school in Gainsborough. This is a full-time position, with a view to becoming permanent following a successful probationary period of approximately 12 weeks.
The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff to support pupils who may display challenging behaviour, helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting pupils with behavioural needs on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
Promoting positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques
Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and pastoral team
Assisting in developing and implementing individual behaviour support plans
Creating a calm and structured learning environment that enables all pupils to succeed
Requirements:
Experience working in a school setting with children who display challenging behaviour
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
A patient, understanding, and consistent approach
Relevant qualifications are desirable but not essential
