  • Salary: £31,350 - £46,179 per year (M1 - UPS2 Fringe) Plus £5,000 Welcome bonus*
  • Location: Smallfield, Surrey
  • Contract: Full-time, Permanent
  • Hours: 40 hours per week

We are seeking a dedicated & passionate Teacher at our fabulous & inclusive school based in Smallfield to deliver high-quality education to students aged between 6 – 16 with communication and social interaction difficulties, typically associated with Autism. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on our students’ lives and contribute to our broad and creative curriculum.

What will I be doing?
  • Delivering the curriculum, considering the educational, physical, and social needs of the students within a learning environment.
  • Collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team including therapy staff.
  • Utilising short, medium, and long-term plans in delivering the curriculum.
  • Setting, monitoring, and reviewing personalised targets to optimise learning for each individual.
  • Monitoring, assessing, reviewing, and reporting on student progress.
  • Developing lesson plans with a reflective approach to teaching outcomes.
  • Contributing to the review of Statements and EHC plans, PEP, and LAC reviews.
  • Providing structured lessons with maintained pace, motivation, and challenge.
  • Staying informed on current issues in the field of autism to plan effective teaching and learning.
What do we need from you?
  • PGCE, QTS, or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Ability to teach across a range of subjects.
  • Relevant knowledge and experience of pupils with ASD, SEMH, and PDA profile.
  • Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures.
  • Experience managing a range of behavioural approaches, including behaviours that challenge.
