Are you an enthusiastic Teacher of English with Secondary experience? - Tradewind is delighted to be working with a secondary school in Abingdon, Oxfordshire who are seeking a dedicated Teacher of English to join their English department from September 2025 or November 2025.

What you'll be doing:

• Teach engaging English lessons across KS3-KS4

• Plan and deliver creative, well-structured lessons

• Assess and track pupil progress, adapting learning to meet a range of needs

• Uphold high standards of classroom behaviour and engagement

• Play an active role in department planning and contribute to whole-school activities

• Support departmental extra-curricular opportunities

What we're looking for:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• A degree in English, English Literature, or a related subject

• Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting

• Strong subject knowledge with a passion for literature and language

• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to student success

• Based in, or reliably commutable to Abingdon, Oxfordshire
