We are seeking an enthusiastic, dedicated, and creative English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Kirklees from September 2025. This is a full-time position, ideal for someone who is committed to delivering exceptional teaching and learning in English across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential opportunities at KS5.

Essential Requirements

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Eligibility to work in the UK.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4
• Inspire students to develop a love for reading, writing, and communication
• Prepare students for internal and external assessments
• Mark and provide feedback in line with school policy
• Monitor and track student progress, using data to inform planning
• Differentiate lessons to support a range of abilities and learning needs
• Contribute to department planning, moderation, and curriculum development
• Support literacy across the curriculum
• Uphold and promote school values and safeguarding policies
• Attend departmental and whole-school meetings
