The Supply Register is currently working in partnership with Ark Elvin Academy in Wembley to find a qualified and experienced Computer Teacher to join their team from September 2024, or earlier. 

About the role 

Our school has been on a transformational journey, and we are looking for a new Teacher of Computing that will join the department through the next exciting leap forward as we challenge educational disadvantage by defining an ambitious, replicable and sustainable school model that supports children from communities like ours to thrive at top third universities and highly competitive apprenticeships

We are looking for an excellent Teacher of Computing who will ensure meaningful learning takes place for our students by teaching engaging and effective lessons. You will be a motivator and inspiration for our pupils and ensure they make rapid and sustained progress.

This role is suitable for Early Career Teacher (ECT’s)

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Excellent classroom teacher, or potential to be one, with the ability to reflect on lessons and continually improve their own practice.
  • Effective and systematic behaviour management, with clear boundaries, sanctions, praise, and rewards
  • Thinks strategically about classroom practice and tailoring lessons to pupils' needs.
  • Understands and interprets complex pupil data to drive lesson planning and pupil attainment.
  • Good communication, planning and organisational skills.
  • Demonstrates resilience, motivation, and commitment to driving up standards of achievement.
  • Acts as a role model to staff and pupils.
  • Commitment to regular and on-going professional development and training to establish outstanding classroom practice.

Requirments 

  • Qualified to teach and work in the UK
  • Degree in an applicable subject 
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain 
  • Must be able to provide 24 months worth of professional references
