Tax Manager Salary: £70,000 - £80,000 + Great Bonus & Benefits Location: Wakefield
A leading privately owned manufacturing business in Wakefield with multiple sites across the UK and Europe is looking for an experienced Tax Manager to join their team at a time of significant growth and transformation.
With the company on an acquisition trail, you’ll play a key role in M&A activities alongside managing complex UK and European tax compliance. This is a role where you’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, shape processes, and contribute to strategic decisions impacting the wider group.
The Role: You’ll take ownership of UK corporate tax compliance, coordinate European tax activities with external advisors, and oversee annual SAO reviews and R&D tax credit claims. You’ll also be involved in international tax projects such as CFC, anti-hybrid rules, transfer pricing, and Pillar 2 compliance.
Other responsibilities include:
Partnering with stakeholders to meet tax deadlines.
Advising on corporate tax aspects of global mobility and employment tax risks.
Managing relationships with tax authorities and advisors.
Supporting due diligence and integration of newly acquired businesses.
About You
ACA or CTA qualified (or equivalent).
Proven experience in corporate tax within manufacturing or a similar complex environment.
Excellent analytical and stakeholder management skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, acquisitive environment.
Flexibility to travel between Wakefield and Oxfordshire sites when required.
