Job Location : London, UK
We are working with a leading alternative investment firm to help them appoint a Tax Associate into their growing finance function. This newly created role will support the Tax Director and work closely with the wider Finance team, external advisors, and cross-functional partners across the business. It offers broad technical scope across corporate, fund, and operational tax, with a clear trajectory for progression as the firm continues to scale globally.
The Tax Associate will play a key role in managing day-to-day tax matters, acting as a bridge between Finance and Tax to ensure deadlines are met and filings are accurate. You will work closely with third-party advisors, reviewing deliverables and ensuring the timely provision of information. You’ll support operational tax analysis across a range of traded fund instruments, advise on changes to tax laws and how they impact financial forecasting, and play a key role in supporting international structuring and entity expansion. The firm’s scale and international reach also provide the opportunity to develop robust tax processes and build scalable frameworks across multiple jurisdictions.
We’re looking to speak with Chartered Tax Advisors (or equivalent) with up to 2 years’ post-qualified experience focused on tax compliance within the investment space. A solid understanding of UK corporate and partnership tax is essential, while knowledge of US tax regimes or operational/product tax for funds is highly advantageous. Strong numerical, organisational and communication skills are key, along with the confidence to present technical content to non-specialists.
The firm offers a high-performance, collaborative environment where you will work alongside leading professions in the market. As such, they will offer a market leading compensation and benefits package and have a strong focus on continuous learning and development. They are in the office 5 days a week, with fully subsidised gym, restaurants etc.
