Systems Controller / Container Planner - Wincanton Plc : Job Details

Paying c.£35,000, we are looking for a new member to our Warehouse team based in Sproughton, Ipswich to review inbound containers and allocate labour to meet customer targets. You will work closely with the shift managers to ensure the fair distribution of the workload at the same time ensuring the administration is accurate. 

No experience necessary as full training will be given but this role is not for the fainthearted and will require resilience and an ability to communicate well with a wide range of people, as well as be confident and accurate with data entries and reporting. 

In the Systems Controller role, you will work weekly rotational shifts of earlies and lates plus every 3rd Saturday from 6am to 2.00pm. 

What are we Looking for?

A positive attitude and the ability to communicate effectively with a wide variety or people is vital. 

• Strong computer skills and ability to learn the EWM system. 
• Analytical thinking and confident decision-making under pressure.
• Resilient and able to remain calm under pressure.
• Attention to detail and time management skills.
• Knowledge of handballer/container unloading operations is desirable but not essential. 

Special Conditions

• Must be able to work a rotating shift pattern (earlies and lates), including every third Saturday.
