Systems Accountant (Contract)

• £450 Per Day (inside IR35)

Morgan and McKinley are seeking a highly skilled qualified Systems Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) who is fluent with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.

Summary as follows:

• Design, evaluate, and optimise financial systems, policies, and practices to ensure efficiency within D365.
• Serve as the finance lead for system enhancements, supporting configuration updates and assessing new features.
• Review financial documents and GL postings to ensure accurate processing in Business Central.
• Manage and maintain system configurations and administrative settings across all BC entities.
• Oversee and enforce governance and controls across finance systems and processes.
• Post and monitor manual journals, assess reporting impact, and collaborate with the systems team to automate processes and maintain clean ledgers with proper reconciliation logs.
• Oversee the process for corrective and cancelling invoices, ensuring proper treatment and system tracking.
• Continuously manage BC system configurations, coordinating with internal teams and external consultants to ensure system integrity.
• Design and streamline month-end finance processes in BC/D365, ensuring timely closure, team coordination, and system validations.
• Define and map period-end activities to establish transparent, department-wide processes.
