Job Overview: As the Sustainability & Social Values Manager at OCS, you will be responsible for leading and implementing initiatives that drive sustainability, social responsibility, and ethical practices throughout our organisation. Reporting to the Account Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and advancing OCS's commitment to sustainability and social values

We are currently recruiting for a Sustainability & Social Values Manager to join our passionate and driven team based at our client’s site in Manchester

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sustainability Strategy Development:
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive sustainability strategy aligned with OCS's business objectives and industry best practices.
    • Drive initiatives that promote environmental conservation, resource efficiency, and carbon footprint reduction.
  • Social Responsibility Programs:
    • Lead the development and implementation of social responsibility programs that positively impact local communities and stakeholders.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to identify and support community engagement opportunities.
  • Environmental Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and standards applicable to the facilities management industry.
    • Stay abreast of emerging environmental legislation and guide the organization in adapting to new requirements.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and community organizations.
    • Act as a liaison between OCS and external partners to foster collaboration on sustainability initiatives.
  • Employee Engagement:
    • Develop and implement internal campaigns and training programs to raise awareness and engagement in sustainability and social responsibility among OCS employees.
    • Foster a culture of environmental stewardship and ethical practices within the organization.
  • Performance Metrics and Reporting:
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the impact of sustainability and social values initiatives.
    • Prepare regular reports for Account Director, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
  • Supply Chain Sustainability:
    • Collaborate with procurement teams to assess and improve the sustainability of the supply chain, including sourcing practices and supplier relationships.
  • Renewable Energy and Efficiency:
    • Explore opportunities for integrating renewable energy sources and energy-efficient practices into OCS's operations.
    • Identify and implement technologies and practices that reduce the environmental footprint of our services.
  • Industry Advocacy:
    • Represent OCS in industry forums and initiatives related to sustainability and social responsibility.
    • Stay informed about trends and best practices, contributing to the advancement of the facilities management sector.

About You:

  • Applicants must have the right to work in the UK
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Business Management, or a relevant qualification is preferred but not essential.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing sustainability and social responsibility programs within a corporate setting.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management abilities.
  • Ability to inspire and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
