  • Salary Range: Unqualified Lecturer: £31,130 - £32,482 | Qualified Lecturer: £34,690 - £44,409
  • Location: East London
  • Job Type: Permanent, Full-time

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Supported Learning Lecturer to join our inclusive and supportive team. This role is ideal for a special needs teacher with a strong background in working with learners with complex needs. Our department is dedicated to preparing young people for adulthood through a variety of vocational, employability, and independence pathways.

Day to Day of the Role:
  • Develop students’ communication, independence, employability, and life skills.
  • Deliver the curriculum effectively through diverse learning strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with students and parents/carers, providing appropriate tutorial support.
  • Maintain a student-centred approach and ensure personalised learning experiences.
  • Engage with young people and adults with learning disabilities, fostering a supportive learning environment.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience as a special needs teacher, specifically with learners with complex needs.
  • A commitment to supporting young people/adults with additional support needs.
  • Ability to employ a variety of teaching methods to cater to individual learning styles.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide effective tutorial support.
  • A student-centred and personalised approach to education.
