We are currently seeking dedicated and experienced Support Workers to embark on a rewarding journey with us in Rhondda Cynon taff and its neighbouring communities. With a minimum of 1 year of experience as a Support Worker or Care Assistant within the UK, you bring with you the expertise and compassion necessary to nurture and uplift children in their formative years.

As a Support Worker for children, you will play a pivotal role in shaping young lives and fostering a nurturing environment where they can thrive. Your dedication and empathy will serve as guiding lights, providing essential support and encouragement to children as they navigate various challenges and milestones.

Required Skills for a Support Worker:

• Engage in conversations and interact with the interests of vulnerable young people as a support worker
• Redirect behaviours and de-escalate heightened situations
• Record detailed activities of young persons including food intake, petty cash, behaviours, developments, hobbies, and interests
• Adhere to rules and boundaries set for the young people and collaborate with fellow support workers
• Prioritise safeguarding by reading care plans and risk assessments to make informed decisions
• Support and facilitate daily requirements of young persons according to care plans and risk assessments
• Assist with school, appointments, and recreational activities
• Liaise with professionals such as Social Workers, CAMHS, educators, and medical practitioners
• Provide detailed updates based on daily logs and knowledge of the young person

Mandatory Requirements:

• Minimum of 6 months UK base experience
• UK driver's license & access to a vechile
• Child and adult DBS or Willing to obtain
• Registered with Social Care Wales
• Full Right to Work in UK(we do not provide sponserships)
