Position: Support Worker

Location: Auchterarder

Contract: Temporary to Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week)

About Us:

We are a residential unit dedicated to providing exceptional care for adults with learning difficulties and autism. Our team is committed to creating a nurturing environment where individuals can thrive and achieve their full potential. We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated support worker to join our team on a temporary to permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist residents with day-to-day tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and household chores.
  • Engage residents in outdoor activities and recreational pursuits, fostering physical and emotional well-being.
  • Implement individualized care plans tailored to the unique needs and preferences of each resident.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, promoting a sense of belonging and community.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standard of care is maintained.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in a similar role, preferably within a residential care setting.
  • Understanding of the needs and challenges faced by individuals with learning difficulties and autism.
  • Compassionate and patient approach to supporting vulnerable adults.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
