Trips'n'Treats are a small friendly team of 12, which consists of a Service Manager, Office Manager, Team Leader, Senior Support Worker and 8 Support Workers, supporting 52 People.

What does this Support Worker job involve?
Hours of Work: Up To 36 Hours Per Week: Between 09:00 - 21:00 + 1x Saturday Per Fortnight - Flexible Provider
- Promote equal treatment, provide recreational support, and offer appropriate care to each Person We Support using the Positive Behaviour Support approach
- Attend and provide information for meetings as needed, including at least 8 staff and supervision meetings annually
- Show flexibility in working hours and approaches and maintain appropriate car insurance for the supported individuals’ transportation
- Understand and follow Safeguarding procedures and be aware of the Whistleblowing Policy
- Host online support sessions with the People We Support if needed and manage their money as per Trips’n’Treats policy
- Stay aware of the risks to the individuals, public, and staff, and take appropriate safety actions
- Be trained or willing to train in Rectal Diazepam and Buccal Midazolam application and complete necessary training courses and updates
- Report daily on activities undertaken
Am I the right person for this Support Worker job?
- Experience within the Learning Disability Sector is desirable but not necessary
- Must have a valid full driving licenceand access to a 4-door car when working and have business insurance
- Enhanced DBS check will need to be carried out
- NVQ Level 2 in Care or equivalent is desirable
- Must have or work towards the Care Certificate This will be provided by Trips’n’Treats if necessary
