Hays Specialist Recruitment is actively recruiting for Learning Difficulties Support Workers in London to work with adults with autism.Hourly rate: £14.23 - £17.68 per hourShifts: All shift patterns available (inc.   • Providing essential support to adults with autism in residential homes.
  • Creating a safe and nurturing environment to foster independence and sensory management.
  • Engaging in diverse day-to-day activities tailored to autistic needs and interests.
  • Assisting with household tasks like cooking and cleaning.
  • Supporting in medication management.
  • Building trust and responsibility to accompany them to appointments and activities.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Preferred Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a care setting supporting individuals with autism, preferably in the UK.
  • Ideal Qualifications: Level 2/3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or autism-specific training. (Note: Mandatory training evidence will be requested, and any required modules will be assigned through our online training platform.)
  • A manual driving licence, valid in the UK (preferred for community outings).
  • Flexibility: We're seeking workers who are as flexible as possible, accommodating individual needs.
  • Resilience: This role can be challenging, so perseverance and patience are essential.
  • Effective Communication: Good written and verbal skills, including use of visual aids.
