Support Line OfficerLocation: Milton Keynes, MK6 2HH - The charity offers hybrid working with the expectation of three days per week in the officeSalary: £30,000 per annumContract: 12-month fixed termHours: 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday
The Support Line Officer will support the delivery of the organisation’s Support Line service, responding to enquiries from service users, organisations and health care professionals across a range of topics related to spinal cord injury, and contributing to the provision of written information, including factsheets and articles for a bi-monthly magazine and website. They will signpost to, and work closely with, other relevant services within the organisation and external partners.
Some key duties will include:
- Responding to all enquiries to the Support Line service in a prompt and efficient manner, and within the remit of its policies, procedures and practices.
- Providing information, support and advice to all service users using a range of recourses to find, interpret and communication the relevant information, liaising with appropriate outside agencies as and when necessary, in order to further research enquiries.
- Researching and exploring options and implications so that service users can make informed decisions.
- Supporting the Frank Williams Academy with the updating and development of new factsheets.
- Supporting the work of the Advocacy service, providing first line support for NHS CHC cases and referring to the service for more in-depth support.
- Supporting the work of the Support Network team, arranging appointments and referring callers when appropriate.
