Job Title: Student Support WorkerLocation: West LondonSalary: £22,960 - £24,996 (for 36 hours/week, 39 weeks/year)Type: Full-Time, Term-Time

Role Overview: Reed are working with a great Education establishment who are seeking a permanent Student Support Worker and play a crucial role in providing non-academic assistance to our college students. Your support will cover a range of areas including housing, financial benefits, health, and personal challenges that impact their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities of a Student Support worker:

  • Evaluate student needs and provide tailored support.
  • Collaborate with external agencies to aid vulnerable students, including those with mental health concerns, looked-after children, and at-risk individuals.
  • Lead and organize student enrichment activities alongside the Student Council.
  • Contribute to the Student Executive Committee and support Tutor Representatives.
  • Train to become a designated Safeguarding Officer.

Requirements for the Student Support Worker Role:

  • Level 3 qualification in related area
  • Experience working with youth (14+) in a supportive role.
  • Ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Strong influence, listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Team-oriented with a commitment to equality, diversity, and safeguarding principles
