Job Description :

Seven Education is looking for a Student Support Administrator to work in Merton College. This is initially for around a 3-month period, and then to Perm. The pay is £16.59 per hour via an umbrella company, and the working hours will be Mon - Fri.

The role:

The Student Support Administrator will provide highly efficient, organised and effective administrative support working within the Support Service and College wide Safeguarding structure.  This will include being a key point of administrative contact for the CPOMS safeguarding system and safeguarding case files, working in close liaison with Support Service Staff and Safeguarding Officers to ensure files and key communications are processed in a timely manner.  The post holder will be required to support the team in the coordination and delivery of this work in addition to the provision of Support Centre services in line with policy. 

Key Responsibilities:

Be a key service point of contact for staff, external stakeholders (e.g. social care, police, health, feeders /virtual schools) and students in relation to safeguarding and general service safeguarding enquiries ensuring College safeguarding and GDPR policy / procedures are always followed.

Provide excellent, efficient and professional customer care at all times in communication with parents, students, staff and external agencies in accordance with policy.

Triage and respond to low level safeguarding issues in line with procedure taking appropriate action i.e. talking to students / external professionals (Social Services/Police), gathering information, making referrals to the Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH), adult services, police or other agencies as appropriate. 

Provide the College Safeguarding leads with accurate administrative services in relation to team meeting minutes, meeting coordination - invitations / bookings, communications etc. and compilation of reports

Process, file, archive and organise all College safeguarding transfer files and other safeguarding securely and confidentially 

Produce reports and statistical information (e.g. safeguarding cases, categories, etc.) as required to analyse and track trends, progress, achievement and outcomes

Maintain CPOMS records and Safeguarding Officer / staff user accounts on the system ensuring staff have appropriate levels of access and support with enquiries, working with CPOMS directly to develop user access and College reports.

Undertake safeguarding case file record audits of all caseload and referral records in liaison with pastoral team / Service Head.

Review and respond to E-safety concerns, monitor, assign and review delegated actions.

Qualifications:  N/A

Experience:  a strong requirement of this role will be Data entry so need to be able to carry out the excel tasks such as a pivot tables (we need staff who will be able to do a v-look ups to support with reporting) or write a letter/email comprehensively re. standard of English. 

Compliance:  Proof of ability to work and live in the UK. 

Hours:  Mon - Fri 9 till 5
