Initial projects they will be working on - Likely schemes include a residential project in Birmingham involving extensive river regeneration works, a high rise building in Cardiff.

Job Description

• leading a project and working as part of a collaborative design team
• mentoring new members of staff
• preparing reports, designs and drawings
• making calculations about loads and stresses
• selecting appropriate construction materials
• providing technical advice
• liaising with relevant professional staff such as architects
• monitoring and inspecting work undertaken by contractors
• administering contracts
• site visits will be required from time to time

Role requirements

• Degree in structural Engineering
• confident representing the business at Client and Design Team Meetings as required.
• Chartered status (near Chartered)
• Ideally experience working in concrete and use of Tekla
