This is more than a procurement role - it's your chance to step into a business-critical position at a company in a period of rapid growth.

Based in the beautiful South Lakes/North Lancs, this forward-thinking manufacturing business is investing heavily in its future - and this role will put you right at the centre of it.

As Strategic Procurement Specialist, you'll play a vital part in shaping how the business sources, secures, and manages the materials that keep projects moving. You'll influence strategy, build strong supplier relationships, and make a tangible impact on the company's success.

If you're looking for the chance to join a high-growth organisation where your expertise really matters, this is the perfect opportunity.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Taking ownership of the supplier base - selecting, negotiating, and securing the best quality and value.

  • Leading, coaching, and developing a Purchasing Administrator to build a high-performing team.

  • Streamlining and improving procurement processes, embedding best practice and continuous improvement.

  • Working closely with manufacturing and production teams to forecast materials, plan ahead, and keep stock levels optimised.

  • Building lasting supplier partnerships, including site visits and performance management.

  • Tracking procurement performance, identifying improvement opportunities, and taking action to hit key targets.

  • Ensuring the right products are sourced and available to support business-critical projects.

What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience (3+ years) in a manufacturing purchasing environment.

  • Strong MRP system knowledge to support planning and forecasting.

  • Proficiency in Office 365 for smooth cross-team collaboration.

  • Resilient and adaptable mindset - thriving in a fast-paced, growing business.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience with Sage 200

  • CIPS qualification or working towards one

  • Higher education in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field

Why Apply?
  • Join a business in a key high-growth phase, where your work directly impacts success.

  • Develop your career with opportunities to influence strategy and lead a team.

  • Beautiful South Lakes location, easily commutable from Lancaster & Kendal via A road or Motorway meaning less time in the city commute!

  • 25 days annual leave + bank holidays
