The Strategic Communications Manager will support the Head of Strategy & Planning, acting as a communications planner across key strategic projects designed to raise awareness of our brand and drive engagement.

Description
- Understanding audiences from existing data sets and commissioning new quantitative and qualitative audience research as required, by working with our internal research team and external agencies.
- Developing relevant key messages, distilling complex information into clear and simple narratives underpinned by evidence-based messaging frameworks as appropriate to the scale of the project.
- Supporting project teams in developing top line customer journey plans to identify the communications touch points to inform/underpin detailed communications plans.
- Providing advice on the right approaches in terms of the right mix of channels to reach the target audience and support the delivery of appropriate content and activity.
- Ensuring the evaluation of Marketing Communications work is baked into the project from the start with clear evaluation methodologies integrated into the planning.
- Working with internal teams and agencies to traffic deliverables across directorates through internal work processes e.g social media assets, paid for digital plans.
- Lead administration of planning programme and monthly planning meetings.
Profile
A successful Strategic Comms Manager should have:
- Proven experience in strategic communications or campaign planning.
- Experience leading, planning, delivering and evaluating successful multichannel campaigns.
- Strong knowledge of data, digital data and optimisation.
- Experience of working with project management methodologies.
