Interim Strategic Change Communications Lead
Based in West London, hybrid
Length: 3 months initially
Rate: £300 per day via an umbrella company

We are working with a London-based Local Authority to recruit an interim Strategic Change Communications Lead to develop and deliver detailed communication and engagement plans, synchronised with project plans.
Key Responsibilities of the Interim Strategic Change Communications Lead include:
- Collaborating with workstream teams and senior leaders to align communication plans with project timelines
- Leading cultural change initiatives linked to organisational design and workforce strategy
- Managing internal and external communications to inform and engage key stakeholders
- Monitoring impact, making adjustments to achieve performance targets and savings
- Ensuring consistent messaging across projects and the overall programme to provide a coherent narrative
- Advising on stakeholder engagement with residents, businesses, partners, staff, and members
- Managing budgets and resources effectively while supporting behaviour change and engagement objectives
Experience and knowledge required of the Interim Strategic Change Communications Lead:
- Previous experience within a Local Authority
- Knowledge of cultural and behavioural change best practice and how this is supported through service user and employee communications
- Experience of running focus groups and facilitated workshops with the aim of building engagement
- Experience of implementing internal social media as an effective two way communication channel to support collaboration
- Internal Communications or Change Communications qualification
