This is great opportunity to join an innovative and well-established automotive manufacturing business in Tamworth.

Our client is a family run business, trading for over 40 years and has developed its expertise in manufacturing and fitting vehicle modifications from flat sheet plastics for high-profile clients including emergency services and utility infrastructure providers.

This role would suit someone already experienced as a goods inward Stores Person, looking for a fresh new challenge.

What we need from you as an experienced Stores Person:

• You will need experience working in a similar goods in/stores position, preferably from within an engineering manufacturing environment
• Be physically fit to undertake the duties required - lifting heavy goods/boxes etc
• Hold a current counterbalance forklift truck licence - ideally, or at least have experience using one
• Have excellent communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
• Be computer literate and numerate
• Have a careful and thorough attitude with a good work ethic
• Hold a clean driving licence with the ability to drive vehicles up to 7.5 tonne

What the role involves:

• Unloading deliveries using a forklift truck or manually unloading goods
• Moving parts from main warehouse to the production line
• Handing all goods inwards and outbound shipping including receipting of stock
• Booking in goods using an in-house computer system
• Location of stock, issuing shortages, stock count, keeping production line racks filled etc
• Working with material controllers and production staff on daily needs and issues
• General kit picking and packing duties
• General housekeeping - keeping the warehouse clean and tidy

Salary/hours: £11.50 per hour. Monday to Thursday 7.30am to 4.15pm - Fridays 7.30am to 3.15pm.39 hours per week.
