Our client is a highly successful, global supplier of automotive components. Due to expansion, they are looking to recruit a suitably experienced accountant, to join them in a Statutory Accountant position. - Responsible for consolidation of 3 business units forming one statutory entity.
- Responsible for US GAAP to FRS102 adjustments, including purchase price adjustments.
- Prepare the consolidated local UK GAAP ETB, master disclosures and statutory accounts.
- Support the external auditors to coordinate requests for the statutory audit of the legal entity.
- Prepare the word file of the local accounts by making utilising existing software solutions to create the models.
- Prepare going concern memos and supporting workings.
- Support the local teams in statutory reporting obligations.
- Understand and document key adjustments from US GAAP to FRS102
- Support the local sites on SOX compliance ensuring consistency and adherence to group policies.
- Coordinate with internal tax team to maintain and manage tax reporting disclosures.
Key skills and experience require:
- Must have understanding of GAAP differences and application of GAAP other than UK.
- Must have experience of consolidations at group/across site level
- Must have experience preparing accounts for a large business.
- Organised with the ability to work to tight deadlines
- Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills
- Curious and enquiring mind
- Excellent report-writing and communication skills.
