Stakeholder Relations Account Manager - VMA Group : Job Details

A consultancy that works on the early stages of major public and private infrastructure projects is seeking a Stakeholder Relations Account Manager to join its London team.

The primary focus of your role is stakeholder engagement, identifying compelling narratives and opportunities that drive advocacy with political and business stakeholders on behalf of their client portfolio; this includes anticipating and managing political and stakeholder risks, and bringing clarity to key political challenges. The work is geared to finding solutions and helping deliver the vital and transformative infrastructure projects that shape our future.

Key responsibilities:

• Deliver impactful campaigns and high quality materials to support client objectives
• Manage relationships with senior project stakeholders and clients
• Manage relationships with a wide range of external stakeholders such as business leaders, local and national government, special interest groups and local communities
• Develop stakeholder mapping, manage stakeholder databases, develop briefing notes and identify potential advocates
• Work with a range of technical experts in client teams to understand and translate complex information for a wide range of audiences
• Monitor Government and Parliament activity relevant to our clients and business development
• Research new infrastructure projects and relevant developments in planning policy

Key Skills required:

• Demonstrable experience in stakeholder management, ideally in built, infrastructure, energy, utilities environment, agency or in-house
• Skilled communicator - both written and spoken
• Experience of campaign management
• Enthusiastic and entrepreneurial
• Comfortable dealing with stakeholders at all levels
