Job Description :

Priory Hospital Lincolnshire is looking to recruit a Staff Nurse to join the team on a secure unit for males with mental health conditions. This is a full time role of 37.5 hours per week. Located in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, Priory Hospital Lincolnshire is a low secure unit for males with mental health conditions. It offers support to those who are detained under the Mental Health Act (MHA).

What you'll be doing

You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As Staff Nurse, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients.

  • Deliver prescribed care to a defined group within an agreed framework.
  • Assess, plan and deliver, with the patient and their carer/family, nursing care which takes account of patient choice and wishes and acting as the patients named nurse.
  • Accurately observe and engage with patients in order to assess need and evaluate progress.
  • Monitor and review Nursing Care plans.

  • Qualified Registered General Nurse (RGN), with 6-12 months post registration experience with active NMC Registration and completed preceptorship programme.
  • Knowledge of NMC guidelines, requests and professional practices.
  • Evidence of post registration continuing professional development.
  • Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to change, improvement and quality.
  • Ability to develop and use flexible and innovative approaches to practise.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill Experience Minimum 6 months post registration experience within Mental Health or Learning Disabilities Care Environment, evidence of continued professional development in relevant field
