Day-to-Day of the Role:
- Provide therapy across communication, literacy, swallowing, language, and social skills.
- Complete assessments, Assistive Technology (AT) recommendations, and reports.
- Collaborate with experienced clinicians across multiple disciplines.
- Utilize streamlined systems to simplify administrative tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Speech and Language Therapy.
- Degree in Speech Pathology.
- Registration with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) or eligibility.
- Working With Children Check (WWCC)/Blue Card, NDIS Worker Screening Check, Police Check.
- Driver’s licence and reliable car.

Relocation & Registration Information:
- To practice in Australia, SLTs must be registered with Speech Pathology Australia (SPA). UK SLTs benefit from a Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA), simplifying the process if already registered with the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT).
- Registration Timeline: Typically takes 1–6 months, with most processed in around 6 weeks.
Visa Information – Working Holiday Visa (Subclass 417):
- Duration: 1 year, extendable up to 3 years.
- Fast processing: 7–30 days.
- Eligibility includes being aged 18–35 years, holding a valid UK passport, applying from outside Australia, having no dependent children during stay, and proof of funds (~AUD $5,000).
- As of 1 July 2024, UK citizens can apply for a second and third Working Holiday visa without needing to complete regional work.
