The Specification Sales Manager will focus on driving sales by building strong relationships with clients and promoting the company's products for Refurb projects via specification. This role requires a proactive individual with a proven ability to deliver results in a competitive market.

As a Specification Sales Manager, you will be responsible for promoting our client's full range of roofing systems to architects, specifiers, main contractors, consultants, and local authorities. Your focus will be on securing specifications at the early design stage and managing those through to project delivery, ensuring a pipeline of high-value projects throughout the territory.
Description
- Develop strong relationships with architects, specifiers, surveyors, and key decision-makers to secure our client's roofing systems in specifications.
- Manage projects from initial specification through to tender and completion, working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Deliver CPDs (Continuing Professional Development presentations) to architecture and specification practices.
- Identify and convert new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and territory mapping.
- Provide accurate forecasting and reporting using CRM systems.
- Collaborate with contractors and approved installers to ensure correct system application and support.
- Keep abreast of market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes affecting the roofing and construction sectors.
Profile
- Proven experience in specification sales, ideally within the roofing, waterproofing, or building envelope sectors.
- Strong knowledge of the specification process and experience working with contractors, architects, specifiers and local authorities
- Ability to manage medium-long sales cycles and complex project pipelines.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently across a large geographic area.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Based within the North East or Scotland, or willing to travel extensively across the region.
