We are seeking a dedicated Sous Chef to join our prestigious country club in WD2. This role requires a professional with a minimum of 2 years of experience, ready to work in a dynamic kitchen environment. The position includes regular weekend shifts and occasional evening shifts during events-5 days a week 8-4 or 9-5
Day-to-day of the role:
- Work closely with the Head Chef to manage daily kitchen activities, including overseeing staff, aiding with menu preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness, and monitoring ordering and stocking.
- Provide meal quality and consistency by following designated recipes.
- Lead and supervise the kitchen staff in the absence of the Head Chef.
- Assist in menu planning and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
- Manage kitchen team to deliver premium service to guests, especially during high-volume periods or events.
- Handle any problems that arise in the kitchen and act quickly to resolve them.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years experience as a Sous Chef or similar role.
- Strong leadership, motivational, and people skills.
- Acute financial management skills.
- Proficiency in managing kitchen operations.
- Must have the right to work in the UK.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and some evenings.
