Sous Chef - Doncaster

40 hours per week - £30,380 per annum

4 on / 4 off rotating shift pattern (daytime hours)

We’re on the lookout for a foodie with flair who thrives in delivering delicious, wholesome food – all while enjoying a consistent shift pattern that gives you real work-life balance.

This isn’t your typical hospitality role. You'll be part of a forward-thinking culinary team based at a large, modern distribution centre in Doncaster, where staff dining is a crucial part of the overall employee experience. Think bold flavours, hearty favourites, modern twists, and plenty of room for creativity.

• Supporting the Head Chef in the day-to-day running of a busy, well-equipped kitchen
• Leading the team during service and maintaining consistently high food quality and presentation
• Helping design, prepare, and serve fresh and seasonal dishes for a large, diverse workforce
• Ensuring all food safety and hygiene standards are met to the highest level
• Monitoring stock, minimising wastage, and ensuring portion control and cost-efficiency
• Taking ownership of specific kitchen sections and mentoring junior team members
• Contributing to menu planning, food innovation, and elevating the overall food offer

• Are an experienced Sous Chef or strong Chef de Partie ready to step up
• Thrive in a high-volume kitchen without compromising on food quality
• Are passionate about great ingredients, bold flavours, and keeping menus exciting
• Have a strong understanding of food safety, allergens, and HSE standards
• Lead by example and enjoy supporting and developing your team
• Are adaptable, energetic, and calm under pressure – especially during peak times
