We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled individual to join the team as a Social Worker in the Children Looked After Team, based in our Taunton office. Somerset Council are committed to providing the highest standard of care and support to children who are looked after by the local authority. Role and Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of no more than 18 children, ensuring their safety and well being at all times.
• Conducting assessments, reviews, and interventions to support children and their families.
• Collaborating with other professionals and agencies to provide comprehensive support and services.
• Advocating for the needs and rights of children in care, ensuring they have access to appropriate resources and opportunities.
• Participating in team meetings, training sessions, and case conferences to enhance professional development and knowledge-sharing.
• Adhering to statutory requirements, policies, and procedures to uphold standards of practice and safeguarding

Requirements for this role

• Qualified and registered Social Worker with relevant experience
• Knowledge of legislation and regulations
• Willingness to participate in continuous professional development.
